Key West Dive in a Day SCUBA Resort Course

Learn SCUBA diving basics — and enjoy a supervised Key West reef dive the same day!

Snorkeling is one of the most popular things to do in Key West. But if you want to experience our living coral reef up close, SCUBA equipment is a must.  So what if don’t have time to take a three or four day certification course? No worries! If your time in Key West is limited, you can take the Dive in a Day Resort Course, and you’ll be hovering underwater with help from SCUBA equipment after just 2 hours of swimming pool instruction.

Even complete beginners can experience the wonder of our barrier reef —the only living coral reef in North America — with help from an expert instructor, who will guide you through two one-tank reef dives after you’ve successfully completed your swimming pool training. You could see hundreds of different varieties of fish on the reef, along with colorful corals and other sea creatures. Your actual dive location will be chosen that day, to provide you with the most fun (and safe) experience, based on conditions in the water.

About Your Dive Boat

You’ll head out to Key West’s incredible barrier reef on the M/V Phoenix, a 46-foot Newton Custom Dive Boat that offers everything you need for a comfortable and exhilarating reef dive, including fresh water showers, fresh water hose, restroom, and ample storage space for gear and dry bags.

Check-In Time

Your boat arrives back at the dock around 5:00 PM.

Dive in a Day Cancellation Policy

You must call 888-667-4386 at least 72 hours before your reservation time to cancel, or your credit card will be charged the full price of your Dive in a Day experience.

Important Medical Information

You are responsible to make sure you are medically qualified to participate in this diving activity. No refunds will be given to those deemed medically unqualified. This is for your safety. A medical history form must be completed by all divers prior to participating in the Dive in a Day resort course.
